Apples....the beginnings of fall

We went on a fun day trip yesterday to one of my favorite places here in the fall, Apple Annie's.  We got to ride on a wagon pulled by a tractor which a certain little boy LOVED and then we were able to pick our own bucketful of apples.  Jonathan really enjoyed it this time and munched away on an Asian pear most of the time.  We also got to enjoy apple topped pancakes with apple cider syrup and then indulged in some kettle corn popcorn and apple cider donuts to take back home, so yummy!  It is starting to get cooler here in the mornings and evenings which is signaling the start of fall which I love.  I already have my fall wreath hanging on our front door and can't wait to get out my other fall decor soon.  Happy early Fall!

Picking his own apple.

Helping Dad put the apple in the bucket.

One of my favs, trying to pull the wagon down to where we are.

But opted for a shady spot instead while he waited on us. :)

And a pit stop on the way back home, one of our favorite spots on the drive and fittingly called Texas Canyon!
